Hello Gangsteeers,

Haven’t posted in a long long time… no fear though… i’m not dead yet.
I have been hibernating out at Piha… eating delicious food… and getting lost in the bush. Some of my walks have taken so far away from my little house that i have resorted to sleeping in the dirt. I find myself living off the land… showering in waterfalls and making friends with praying mantises.
I have driven back into town now and catching up on a few things… like this BLOG.

At the end of the week i head to Australia to open for Wilco. It’s exciting to join them again after the tour through the US last year which was one of my favourite experiences so far. This time it will just be me with my telecaster… no drums… no loops (well we’ll see) and unfortunately no EJ. Still, i think it will be a good show… i back myself. Intimate and stripped back… sexy. I’ve got back.
i am doing a little side show in Melbourne at the Newtown workers club on Brunswick st. Connan is in town so he’ll probably join me…. we might even play some BARB.

The BARB album should be coming out in a month or so… you’d think i’d know huh…
It’s set for release in NZ, Australia and the US and we’re still waiting to hear whether we can get it out in the UK.
We’re really happy with it and think it’s truly unique piece of work. Very different from all of out individual projects.
For those of you who don’t know what the hell BARB is we’re working on a bio… and we have a myspace now i think.
